The Italian Wine + Food Festival is back for its FIFTH year and The Wog With The Grog -under the Euro Concepts banner – is also back, and also better than ever!
This year it’s at the all new Sydney precinct at Barangaroo.
After four successful years the festival has outgrown its space and now stationed at Barangaroo, at The Cutaway. It’s on from 11am to 9pm on Sunday 27 August.

Euro Concepts will be showing off its new big Italian reds and delicious bubbles at this Sunday’s event.
The line up: Pinot Grigio DOC, Friulano DOC, Sauvignon DOC, Pinot Nero DOC, Prosecco, Soave DOC, Valpolicella DOC, Amarone DOC, Franciacorta, and the stars of the Nardini brand including Acqua Di Cedro, Ginepro, and 5 year old Grappa Riserva.
The all new Franciacorta bar is a BIG deal.
Not only because we love the Franciacorta region in Northern Italy, we also just returned from a trip to the region earlier this year, and we witness all over again how these unique, delicious bubbles are made, the beautiful neighbourhood where it all happens, and the talented passionate people from this region, including our very fave producer of Franciacorta, Majolini, a brand stocked exclusively by Euro Concepts.
It’s wonderful to finally see this area and drink recognised in Australia!
Other highlights of the Italian Wine and Food Festival? Masterclasses all day – Euro Concepts has an exciting red wine in the wines from Alto Adige region masterclass held at 11.30am, the ‘Buongiorno… Guten Morgen class, hosted by Huon Hooke – plus the strong BEST new wine contenders from Euro Concepts. The wine masterclasses are hosted by Huon Hooke, and presented by Gourmet Traveller WINE. The popular Italian marketplace will be filled with Italian specialties and local produce.

Giovanni Pilu (Pilu at Freshwater), Lucio Galletto (Lucio’s), Federico Zanellato (LuMi), Stefano Manfredi and Gianluca Donzelli (Pizzaperta), Nino Zoccali (Pendolino), Richard Ptacnik (Otto Ristorante), Gabriele Taddeucci (Balla), Lucio de Falco (Lucio Pizzeria) and Youssef Touati (Salt Meats Cheese).
Plus there’ll be cooking demonstrations with chefs and providores on the Smeg Main Stage.
