Fresh from our trip to Italy, The Wog With The Grog is proud to present to the first ‘The Wog With The Grog’ Italian tour.
We just came back from a reccie, or reconnoissance, trip (hard work, we know) and met up (again!) with our trusted tour operators in Italy.
Jo-In Tour Operator is based in Torino and know their stuff. Meg Dunne, a team member at Jo-In, is an Aussie living her dream (and working!) in Italy.
Here is more on the reputable tour company, doing amazing things in Italy, and now joining forces with Aussie travellers (via The Wog With The Grog) with their tour for the Australian public (and Italophiles from the around the world – we welcome them all!). The group is small – 16 people max – and the tour is bespoke, curated to include artisan elements of Italy like you’ve never experienced before.
Here is more on Jo-In:
The Jo-In Tour Operator Incoming activities are developed and implemented by a team of 30-year-old professionals who turned their vocation into a job.
Alessandro Cesca is a sommelier, with a passion for wine and food, profoundly linked to Piedmont and a connoisseur of the local produce and excellence. Elisa Papais an unusual Tour Leader specialized in the many secrets, historical anecdotes and curiosities of Turin. Greta Bocca is the driving creative force of the team: a writer, photographer, video maker and social media manager. Matteo Fornaca, experienced traveler, is the brains behind the Jo-In project.
“We would like you to understand who we are through the story of our friendship, as Jo-In is basically fundamentally a group of friends working together. We would like you to see the many notes our endless list of notes and options which are the source of our ideas for the tours we organize. But mainly we would like you to be our travel companion, to share our curiosity and make available to you our knowledge of the cultural heritage we have learnt grown to appreciate, for pleasure first first from our personal interest, and later as professionals. Jo-In is a reliable and imaginative Tour Operator. Jo-In is the result of our skills, our professional experience, and but mainly of what we believe in”.
And so, this tour.
Where do we go?
Here is the itinerary:
A tale to be told through touching, kneading and smelling.
The rolling hills of the Langhe preserve historic villages, castles, churches and art sites. A picturesque area to been seen, but above all, to be tasted. This is the land of some of the greatest Italian wines such as, Barolo and Barbaresco and is also a land of magnificent gastronomy; here you will find dishes that cannot be replicated anywhere in the world.
